McGAUGHEY, Waunetta Ratcliff - Putnam

Waunetta Pearl McGaughey, 90, Russellville died Thursday at Ben Hur Home in Crawfordsville. She was the mother of Evelyn Gross of Whiteland. She was born July 7, 1897 in Putnam County to John G. and Ella (Clodfelter) Ratcliff.  She married Rafe E. McGaughey in 1917 in Greencastle.  He preceded her in death. A homemaker Mrs. McGaughey was a member of Russellville Community Church and its Ladies Aid group. She also taught Sunday school at the church. She also was a member of Russellville Extension Homemakers. A service will be at 10:30 am Monday at Russellville Community Church with Rev. Scott Johnson officiating. Friends may call at Services & Morgan Funeral Home in Russellville from 2-8 p.m. Sunday and at the church one hour prior to service Monday. Burial will be at Hebron Cemetery in Russellville. Also surviving are two other daughters, Lois Riggs, Noblesville and Lillous Grimes, New Market; two sons, Edgar McGaughey, Russellville and John Frank McGaughey, Marion; two brothers, Milbert Ratcliff, Crawfordsville and John Ratcliff, Rockville; one sister, Christine Hafield, Crawfordsville; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. - kbz
